Box Art & Editions For Borderlands 3 Have Been Leaked

UPDATE: Borderlands 3 is confirmed to release September 13th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the Epic Games Store on PC. All of the editions below are also official. Gearbox will be hosting a Gameplay Reveal Event on May 1st where they’ll debut the first hands-on look of the new title.

With the recent news of Borderlands Remastered coming to major platforms on April 3rd along with a shipment of more information to be revealed on the highly anticipated Borderlands 3, it looks that the potential box art along with separate editions of the game have emerged online just before Gearbox’s official word.

Looking at the leaked cover, rather than the Psycho holding his iconic finger guns to his head is instead greeting by holding three fingers up using one hand while holding a sawblade staff in his other. Though the traditional pose is absent, it still holds true to the standard take on how the game’s cover is designed by painting the background with high saturated colors.

Surrounding the Psycho is a bouquet of roses in the foreground and firearms lining up behind. Taking a closer look at the flowers the innards replicating well-known faces from the franchise like Claptrap, Rhys, and Brick along with the new cast of Vault Hunters.

Paired with the possibly legitimate box art also came with some of the different editions players will have the option to buy over the standard version: Deluxe Edition, Super Deluxe Edition, and Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition. For what makes up the Collector’s Edition reads to include:

  • Diamond Loot Chest Replica
  • Sanctuary 3 Snap Model
  • 10 Character Figurines
  • 5 Character Art Lithographs
  • 4 Vault Key Keychains
  • Cloth Map of the Galaxy
  • Borderlands 3 Game
  • Steelbook Case
  • Season Pass
  • Deluxe Bonus Content
  • Gold Weapons Skin Pack

For what the ‘Deluxe Bonus Content’ is exactly has not be detailed, but it’s a good guess that it will be additional weapon/character cosmetics and mods.

Gearbox themselves even poking fun at the potential leak and pointing to later today to confirm if all this leaked information is in fact real or not.

Just like every rumor/leak, it’s best that all is not taken as fact until official word from either the game’s developer or the publisher solidifies the information to be true.

Borderlands 3 currently has no release date and no listed platforms.
