For those who need to recall the first Xbox 20/20 show back in May, Microsoft kicked off the show with an exciting new project from FYDQ-Studio, Bright Memory: Infinite. While not entirely unique from the China-based team, it is a reworking of the titular Bright Memory which released on Steam back in March of this year.
Developed by one solo developer, Zeng Xiancheng, the game combines elements off first-person shooters and fuses it with the likes of hack and slash titles which is an approach not implemented to the scope of this entry. And given that the latter project is said to release next year, FYDQ-Studio announced that Bright Future will be arriving to Xbox Series X on launch day for the new console.
The announcement was made during the recent Playism Game Show livestream that took place this week. You can watch the segment of the presentation in the video below:
“Combine a wide variety of skills and abilities to unleash dazzling combo attacks. SRO (Supernatural Science Research Organization) agent Shelia’s adventure is about to begin,” the game’s overview on Steam reads. “This game depicts the maiden adventure of a woman named Shelia in the year 2020. The 1000-year-old relic swords known as “Kanshou and Bakuya”, discovered through SRO research, have been found to comprise a unique multilayered structure, containing a mysterious substance in their cores.
“This substance, known as the ‘Soul of Jiu Xuan’, possesses the ability to reanimate the dead. In an attempt to take possession of the substance, the ‘SAI’ – a massive terrorist organization controlling its own army – has used a cutting-edge piece of technology known as a ‘Quantum Transporter’ to infiltrate the SRO research facility and steal top-secret and incredibly dangerous data.”
As for the anticipated Bright Future: Infinite, the game is said to be paved for a release sometime in early 2021. Gathered from the translated livestream hosted by J-Mon, it is said the game is arranged to release sometime in March. However, an official date was not spared so the release window might be different when properly announced later on.
