In fall of 2019, developer Bungie unveiled that the next story-based expansion ‘Shadowkeep’ would be arriving to supported systems. Giving players another reason to return is always exciting with more content and gameplay to indulge in for the 2017-released title. But now in a new reveal that took place this week, Bungie shares to have more plans for the second installment in the series well into 2022.

During its livestream that the studio hosted recently, Bungie announces the next expansion slated for Destiny 2: Beyond Light. Taking Guardians to the frozen tundra of Europa, players must dismantle a new force of Darkness that have arrived in the Pyramid Ship above the planet’s atmosphere.

You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

While players will be facing a new armada of foes under he banner of Fallen Kell of Darkness, Guardians of all classes will learn the next power to their fullest ability, Stasis. With this new hidden force, users can learn how to slow down enemies and even utilize it for a more devastating outcome. But what players will be returning to take on next is the new raid that is shared to be held within the core of the Europa under its icy surface.

But while fans are currently eager to intercept the next bulk of content that will be shipping to Destiny 2, Bungie unveils later on that there is more to arrive in the coming years. Essentially sharing that major content overhauls will be submitted on a yearly basis – the firm shares that there will be two more expansions until 2022.

As you can read from the image provided, 2021’s forecast is expecting to receive The Witch Queen following with Lightfall which will take place the year after in 2022. While there is at least a synopsis of the approaching Beyond Light expansion, Bungie has yet to spare much detail on the next two add-ons for Destiny 2 as of reporting.

Will you be embarking for Europa later on this year?

Destiny 2: Bright Light is set to ship on September 22, 2020 for $39.99; Destiny 2 is out now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
