Call of Duty has been a hot topic this month with Modern Warfare III being released and already there are leaks surfacing of 2024’s Call of Duty release. According to Jez Corden of Windows Central, Treyarch has been developing the next entry in the Black Ops series and this time it will take place in the Gulf War.

Jez claims that Treyarch is referring to this game internally as “Black Ops 6” and it will have a focus on the CIA. He also heard from sources that Activision has been discussing a large pre-order early access bonus for Black Ops: Gulf War with the phase going on for weeks that would give players access to modes beyond the campaign. And as expected, Jez says the new Black Ops will have a tie-in with Call of Duty: Warzone.

Windows Central also says to expect Call of Duty 2024 in late Fall. The outlet also says that the new Call of Duty will be the longest development time that Treyarch has ever had. The likely reason we saw Modern Warfare III release immediately after Modern Warfare II was because “Treyarch sought delays for its own Call of Duty title”.

What do you think of the next Black Ops game featuring the Gulf War?
