Following the recent release of Mega Man 11, publisher Capcom has revealed that Mega Man will be getting his own live-action film.

Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman will be directing the live adaptation of the iconic game series. The two have previously worked on the film Catfish, as well as Paranormal Activity 3 & 4. Given their track record, there’s still hope that the newly announced film could possibly break the curse of poorly done video game-based movies.

Capcom stated that the film will be aiming for a “diverse audience”, including both fans of the series as well as action-movie buffs.

On top of the new film on the way, Mega Man also has an animated series that debuted on Cartoon Network at the beginning of August. Mega Man: Fully Charged was announced to have 26 episodes for the first season and is planned to be fully aired in the upcoming weeks.
