Capcom Elaborates On New Details For Devil May Cry V: Special Edition

When it comes to Devil May Cry V: Special Edition, there is no doubt that it became one of the most anticipated announcements to come from the second PlayStation 5 showcase. And while fans are left excited to return to the latest entry in the series with even more immersive features and the ability to play beyond what current hardware can, there are still questions left unanswered.

From what Capcom did reveal, it became certain that the Special Edition would ship PlayStation 5 and followed by the Xbox Series X|S version. Adding on, all enhancements listed will be available for supported platforms – well, most of them at least. In a new blog post, Capcom elaborates on the finer details for Devil May Cry V: Special Edition.

One thing, the firm discloses that raytracing support on Xbox Series S will be absent on the entry-level unit; mainly due to the power gap between the system and its sibling console.

While ray tracing will be available as a downloadable title update on Xbox Series X, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will not support ray tracing on Xbox Series S.

But for all platforms, Capcom does spare good news all around. For those who decide to pre-order the Special Edition will be greeted with a welcomed goodie. If pre-ordered on either Xbox or PlayStation until November 18, the user will receive a client worth of 100,000 Red Orbs. Even more, the firm tells that the add-on for Vergil on current systems arrive next month.

On December 15th, Xbox One & PlayStation 4 owners can purchase the Vergil DLC for only $4.99. Capcom emphasizes that once acquired can be used in either the Story Mode, The Void, or Bloody Palace.

What system are you picking up Devil May Cry V: Special Edition for?

Devil May Cry V: Special Edition arrives on November 12, 2020 to PlayStation 5; Xbox Series X|S on November 19, 2020.
