Castlevania Spin-Off Announced By Netflix, To Star Richter Belmont & Maria Renard

In terms of what Netflix is to pursue next, the project ahead is suspected to be more around its most successful cash cow, Castlevania. At least for the firm’s poke at the video game industry, the Konami-partnered show spanning across now four seasons is said to be expecting a spin-off, as per Deadline. Especially with Season 4 being the last, there is certainly new directions that Netflix can pursue with the production.

Additionally, the firm on Friday unveiled more ambitions with its new partnership with Ubisoft. In that, the agreement has established two separate anime productions: Splinter Cell and ‘Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix’. The two are still in production respectively and is currently undetermined to arrive to the service.

Back in regards to Castlevania, Netflix went on to announce a new spin-off is underway by sparing a trailer for the show during its Day Five for Geeked Week. You can watch the segment of the livestream in the video below:

“The Castlevania Universe is getting even bigger,” Netflix announced in a post on Twitter. “An all new series starring Richter Belmont (the son of Sypha and Trevor) and Maria Renard, set in France during the French Revolution, is currently in the works.”

In other pursuits in regards to upcoming video game anime adaptations over at Netflix, the company is also in the works for a new Tomb Raider series as well. The production is said to be helmed by Tasha Huo, writer for the upcoming The Witcher spin-off, Blood Origin. You can read the full report by heading here.
