It was devastating news to learn back in January that developer CD Projekt Red due to time restricting obstacles have decided to postpone the release date for Cyberpunk 2077 to this coming September. The game was initially scheduled to arrive on April 16, 2020 which was not too far away from the abrupt reveal in January.

Now, before we have even properly walked into the summer season, CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be facing a second delay. This time, the Polish developer announces fans can expect to pick up the game later on during mid fall in November.

“We are fully aware that making such a decision costs us your trust and trading trust for additional time is one of the hardest decisions a game developer can make. And despite we think it’s the right decision for the game, we’d still like to apologize for making our wait a bit longer,” the letterhead on the game’s Twitter account reads.

The announcement also comes one week prior to the recently delayed Night City Wire livestream that CD Projekt Red has scheduled for next Thursday. Earlier in June, the studio announced that the online event slated for June 11th would be ushered to a later date in solidarity for the protests that were inflating across the United States for the justice of Black Americans.

CD Projekt Red clarifies that the additional time needed will be going to properly balancing the remaining issues in the core gameplay and squash some of the larger bugs apparent in the current build for Cyberpunk 2077. Despite the game being delayed to November, the development team has begun sending builds to a handful of outlets to report the current state of the game and hopes the reception aligns with the team’s effort to ship the game later this year.

Are you fine waiting a few more months for Cyberpunk 2077 to release?

Cyberpunk 2077 will ship for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia on November 19, 2020.
