Back at E3 this year the gaming community was blown away by the surprise debut of Cyberpunk 2077‘s world with the minute-long trailer in-engine. Despite there being no release date following the trailer’s conclusion, fans took whatever they could get on the 2013 announced title.
Following later this Summer, developer CD Projekt Red released nearly an hour worth of gameplay showing off the scale and depth that the game will hold. As the footage shown was announced to only be pre-alpha gameplay, a good amount of the demo will be present in the final version while other features are still in the works. The overall presentation for the video left fans impressed for what will follow when the Polish studio is ready to share more.
Recently CD Projekt Red during their latest investor call stated that the highly anticipated title will be as polished as Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2.
“Without a doubt, quality is of paramount importance,” Studi Head Adam Kiciński states. “We strive to publish games which are as refined as Red Dead Redemption 2, and recent Rockstar releases in general. That game is excellent, by the way, we are rooting for it. Rave reviews, excellent sales.”
Kiciński adds on to the statement saying that the Polish-based developer aims to bring highly polished and unique games similar to Rockstar’s western title. The studio CEO also follows up on the subject by telling the investor that the developer plans to “patch various bugs, both major and minor” in time for when the game is ready to release.
In other good news for the upcoming sci-fi title is that progress on the game’s development is ahead of its estimated schedule. “progressing fast and according to plan,” leaving hope that we might expect the game’s arrival sooner than initially planned.
