While Capcom is most likely wrapping up on the development for the very anticipated Resident Evil 8, it should be recognized that another engrossing property is also underway. Unlike a new entry from Capcom’s array of recognized franchises, this is an entirely new intellectual property on the way. The topic point being Pragmata, a new project set to release uniquely for next-generation hardware.
Predating back to June 2020, Sony Interactive Entertainment as part of the PlayStation 5 showcase closed the show by unveiling Pragmata to the world. And while the game was presented during a PlayStation-marketed livestream, Capcom did state a Xbox Series X version is also being conjured for a simultaneous release.
However, in a new promotional video featured by Sony during its press conference for CES 2021, the firm does issue an update on Pragmata. Now, the title is scheduled to release in 2023. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Part II footage captured on PS4. All other gameplay footage was captured on PS5, the subtext at the end of the promo reads. “Pragmata: coming 2023”. The new information only offers an understanding regarding the future for the title and does not elaborate further on the situation. As of yet, Capcom did not comment on the reasoning for the 2023 release.
In a similar fashion, Sony Interactive Entertainment presented projections for its marketed releases previously. In the PlayStation 5 launch trailer, the firm offered that Housemarque’s Returnal will be arriving in the first half of 2021. And now, we are aware of the game’s March-scheduled release. You can read the initial report by heading here.
Are you fine waiting the additional year for Pragmata?
Pragmata is scheduled to release sometime in 2023 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
