Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has now sold over 1 million copies

It was only a few days ago that developer Sandfall Interactive announced that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 reached over 500K sales in its first day. As of April 27, 2025, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has now sold over 1 million copies across Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC.

This does not count the number of players who have enjoyed the game in total. That number is higher due to the fact that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is available on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 costs $49.99 on all platforms and is free for Game Pass subscribers.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a ground-breaking turn-based RPG with unique real-time mechanics, making battles more immersive and addictive than ever. Explore a fantasy world inspired by Belle Époque France in which you battle devastating enemies.

On Steam, the game has received an all-time peak of over 120K concurrent players playing on PC. The player numbers overall across Xbox and PC has not been revealed yet by Sandfall Interactive or Kepler Interactive.

The release of this JRPG came at an interesting time as Bethesda Game Studios made a surprise launch of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on April 22. Some thought the shadow drop by Bethesda would impact the highest-rated game of 2025 so far.
