Videogame industry veteran Cliff Bleszinski has recently announced what he is tackling next after announcing his departure from the gaming scene back in November. On Twitter the ex-studio head revealed that he will now be pursing Broadway as a producer for the upcoming show Hadestown.
I'm officially co-producing this show.
That's my next gig!
It's on Spotify, give it a go. It's fantastic! https://t.co/Ew7Tr1QsHA

From lead designer of the original Gears of War trilogy to co-producing a show alongside Mara Isaacs, Dale Franzen, Hunter Arnold, and Tom Kirdahy: Broadway is definitely a new change of scenery for Bleszinski. The plot of the forthcoming drama “follows two intertwining love stories — that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of King Hades and his wife Persephone — as it invites audiences on an epic journey to the underworld and back. Mitchell’s beguiling melodies and Chavkin’s poetic imagination pit nature against industry, faith against doubt, and love against fear.”
Hadestown is set to debut sometime in April next year; for Cliffy B’s decision to undertake Broadway is unique, let’s hope he finds more fulfillment in the 2019 performance compared to the now shut down Boss Key Productions. With plenty of high intentions that Bleszinski held when head of the development team, we’re eager to see if any of that translate to the main stage sometime in the near future.
