Just over a month ago, it marked the first full year since the announcement of the return of the prolific Microsoft Flight Simulator. Rather than the initial entry that broke into the mainstream back in 1982, this same-named project revamps the original game with photo-realistic imagery and geographic accuracy to the Earth that it simulates. Since the new game arrived to Alpha earlier on, developer Asobo Studio reveals that the game will be moving to closed beta later this month.
In a new blog post, the team shares that final testing for the closed beta has initiated and plans to properly release the exclusive playtest will begin on July 30. Invites for the closed beta will be shipped out leading up to the debut for the new development step for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
As a reminder, if you are currently an Alpha tester, you will be automatically granted access to the Closed Beta.
If you are not currently an Alpha tester, we will be sending out new invitations for Closed Beta participation.
In the post, Asobo Studio also shares a myriad of patch notes that was included in the Alpha 5 Update that went live this week. The new tweaks and fixes includes adjustments to included aircrafts, airports, and general quality of life additions.
The developer also stated that another shipment of invites have been sent out for the current Alpha for the game, so check if you made it in. For those who are still waiting on the outside, you can view the collection of in-game captures that the team posts from the community by visiting the media section of the game’s official website here.
