Fans of the nostalgic Hyborian Age tale of Conan the Barbarian already might be satisfied with the game interpretation of the 1982 film due to the amount of hijinks and freedom at player’s disposal when joining a lobby. However, publisher Funcom alongside developer Mighty Kingdom is prepping a release for the upcoming roguelike which shares the same universe, Conan Chop Chop.
Sharing some similarity to how The Behemoth’s Castle Crashers were designed, players will go on a journey fighting through waves of diverse enemies and exploring uncharted vistas from the shared world of Conan the Barbarian. However, while players of the 2008 title quickly learned the layout of the beat-em up RPG, Conan Chop Chop instead introduces randomly generated locations to give a fresh experience for each playthrough.
Of course, this wouldn’t be a classic roguelike adventure without friends: players can have up to four users to join them on their quest to take on Thoth-Amon, the evil wizard. Player interactivity will apply to both couch co-op atop of online lobbies for you and your friends to take on this new journey.
Simply pick up the character of your choosing and hone their respected playstyle in combination with the slew of loot that you will discover down the road through each chapter of your voyage. Maintaining a proper loadout with your character will truly bring the brightest outcome for those who practice to perfection with what you have available.
Conan Chop Chop is scheduled to launch on February 25, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
