Developers from time to time will enjoy a quick act of teasing to rile up fans anticipating a certain series or intellectual property. This instance looks to be occurring today as PlatinumGames have acted upon this once again concerning a future project involving The Wonderful 101. It was last year that the team posted an image of the cast playing on Nintendo Switches, but nothing came to fruition following the image being uploaded.

Now, the Japanese developer is back again seemingly poking at fans who are anticipating for something new to be announced for the game. This time, a picture of studio Director Hideki Kamiya sits in-front of a monitor where the screen reads “1:01” for the time and fans have already started connecting the dots.

Of course, this is only speculation as a tease to this degree can only tell so much. But it should be considered that when the team decides to do some light-hearted fun teasing their followers, it does not set a foundation for the clue left. However, that is the fun of it ultimately, we are left to wait and eventually let time consume this instance for the potential reveal to possibly arrive later on.

Again, we should also note that we are talking about PlatinumGames, specifically Director Hideki Kamiya. The developer is well-known for his track record messing with fans for the past few years. So it is suggested he orchestrated the entire thing just to get fans excited for nothing: most noteworthy mention is that this is the same individual who also tweeted “Bayonetta x Mortal Kombat” and no one still knows what will follow the post.

Realistically, there is room for a port of the original Wii U title seeing that Nintendo insider Emily Rogers cited that two returning titles will be remastered for the newer hardware. Alongside Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition which will arrive later this year, The Wonderful 101 could be a likely candidate to be introduced to the Nintendo Switch.

However, this speculation is already blanketed with holes when combating the previous rumor reported from November. The leaker claiming that Pikmin 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD to be the two titles. While there is no foundation for that statement specifically, other rumors linked to his post have been validated later on entering 2020.
