In regards to the PlayStation 5 exclusive lineup, fans already experienced the exhilarating release that is Bluepoint Games’ Demon’s Souls at launch for the next-generation console. However, that is simply the beginning for Sony Interactive Entertainment’s campaign of unique first-party titles for PlayStation 5. Of course, other bombastic releases are underway such as Horizon: Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarok.

The same aforementioned games, despite being on the edge of releasing in the coming year, are still due for the end of 2021. But, there is still room for one exciting installment inbound, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart . Last heard from Insomniac Games, the developer issued that the game would be shipping sometime in the PlayStation 5 launch window.

Even more, a later trailer pressed the game is due for a release in the first half of 2021. But now, it is gathered the launch window might be expecting an extension. While it is only mild speculation to use the new listing issued by Sony Interactive Entertainment, some industry faces are getting anxious from the new information. For example, former Game Informer Editor and Kinda Funny co-host Imran Khan tweeted to be worried for when the game will ship now; stating the stretched 2021 timeframe to be “concerning”.

Ultimately, the new release window Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart only dulls the projection for the first segment of this year. The sizable window goes to suggest it might leak into the latter portion of the year. One thing for certain – Insomniac Games did verify the game will only be exclusive to PlayStation 5, so older hardware will not restrain the game alike other first-party titles.

During the same promotional trailer shared on Monday, Sony Interactive Entertainment also went to enlighten on the next-gen juggernaut, Project Athia. Although not sparing new information per say, the footage does share the game is now set to arrive in January 2022. You can read the full report by heading here.
