Gunfire Games primarily known from their Darksiders titles recently announced the third title in the series over a month ago. And as of recent news, the Austin-based developer isn’t finished after the upcoming game.

In a recent interview with US Gamer at Gamescom, the outlet spoke with Darksiders III senior Designer Richard Vorodi on the game. The studio decided to remove the mini-map as they determined many fans disliked the HUD feature. Following up to the topic that they want players to get lost in the game for better immersion in the game’s world.

When US Gamer asked Vorodi what’s next for the series, he responded with “The plan was always four.”. His response showing confidence in the future for another Darksiders title.

With this being months before the release of the series’ third installment, it isn’t enough to confirm if we will see a fourth Darksiders in the future as of yet. Vorodi showing determination that that game was originally arranged to be more than a trilogy, it does give hope for one more after the third.

Darksiders III will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on November 27, 2018.
