Crash Bandicoot’s N. Sane Trilogy’s dominance of the UK chart continues this week, as it comes top of the country’s physical games charts for the fourth week running. Now that makes it a total of six weeks at the top since its launch in late June, meaning the remaster collection achieved “the most weeks at No.1 for a PS4-exclusive title and the most weeks at No.1 for any title so far this year. ”
The week ending August 12 also sees Grand Theft Auto slip one place to No.3 after it was revealed recently that the Rockstar open-world game is the UK’s best-selling physical title so far this year. Below that, continued price promotions mean three Bethesda titles chart well once again: Fallout 4 is now No.2, Dishonored 2 No.4, and Doom No.5. Splatoon 2, which took second spot for its first two weeks on sale, remains at No.6.
It’s not just the UK that Crash Bandicoot is doing well. Sony revealed last week that the remaster trilogy was the best selling title on PSN in the United States and Europe last month. and the game is back on top in Australia and New Zealand, too. Publisher Activision stated the trilogy has “surpassed all … expectations by a pretty wide margin.”
