Crysis Remastered Trilogy Receives New October 15 Release Date

Rewinding back to the era of the PlayStation 3 & Xbox 360, developer Crytek is considered to be at the pinnacle of its time with the three releases of Crysis, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3. However, the start of the 8th console generation while strong with Ryse: Son of Rome soon dwindled with Homefront: Revolution and the ongoing reports of internal handlings at the game studio.

However, the last year has witnessed a resurgence of Crytek with Crysis Remastered in 2020 delivering the core experience to all major platforms including Nintendo Switch. Additionally, the game even was revamped for Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5 soon after. But that anticipation grew upon learning that a Crysis Remastered Trilogy is on the way later on in 2021.

Slated for a fall 2021 release window, Crytek on Thursday injected two comparison trailers to the Xbox 360 and Xbox Series X|S/PlayStation 3 & PlayStation 5 for the new titles underway. Atop of that, the game is now slated for release in mid October. You can watch the trailers in the videos below:

“Crysis Remastered Trilogy will also receive a physical release for Xbox and PlayStation platforms. Nintendo Switch will get a separated retail release for Crysis 1, 2 and 3 Remastered, with players being able to get their hands on an exclusive bonus art card,” Crytek shares, “Additionally, twenty art cards randomly inserted into day one orders for each format will be numbered and autographed by members of the development team.

“The Crysis Remastered Trilogy is optimized and enhanced towards next-generation consoles meaning the Crysis games play smoother and better than ever before. The original games played at an average of 720p resolution and up to 30 FPS. On Xbox Series X & PlayStation 5 the Crysis remasters play between 1080p and 4K at 60 FPS, achieved with Dynamic Resolution for excellent performance on today’s hardware.

“In addition to substantial performance gains, Crysis Remastered Trilogy features improved lighting and visually enhanced characters, weapons, and environments, plus high-definition textures for crystal clear images.” What remaster are you most excited from the trilogy?

Crysis Remastered Trilogy arrives on October 15, 2021 f0r Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
