To give players a sense of direction for CD Projekt Red’s highly-anticipated title Cyberpunk 2077, the developer last month broke the news that the coming entry will be arriving a month later than its initially rescheduled release date. In that, the long-awaited first-person RPG will now be arriving in the second week of December after more time was required to meet the expectation for the waiting fans.
And while the wait is prolonged an additional month, now is the closest to release that the world has been to Cyberpunk 2077. And although many continue to joke of a potential launch date push for 2021, there is new details that leaked for the game. Over on Reddit, poster u/Mikeymorphin shared an image of the game’s case for PlayStation 4 revealing the space requirement for the title.
Combing the text on the back of the packaging, it reveals that Cyberpunk 2077 hard drive capacity is around 70 GB roughly. Additionally, it is told from the front cover of the game that there will be two discs inside – one for installation and the other to play, presumably. You can view the images below:
Gathered for the install requirement for console as a whole, the space needed should be virtually indifferent on Xbox or PlayStation. So, the same is also expected for the two discs in the case for both platforms also. Despite the image being of a PlayStation 4 version, it is expected players will be required to find the same on Xbox One also. Howbeit, next-generation, of course, would be absent of a disc. For now, that is only conjecture until proven officially.
Elsewhere, in regards to the next-generation version of Cyberpunk 2077, the game is anticipated to cost more hard drive space as the game will ship with better texture resolution and other enhancements. Howbeit, the price will be unaffected according to CD Project Red. You can read the full report by heading here.
