With Days Gone previously being delayed, many fans were left wondering when we will see Bend Studio’s new open world zombie game. With hopes that we’d have news on a release date, Sony revealed Days Gone will be launch on February 22, 2019 during today’s Playstation E3 2018 Livestream.
Along with a trailer following this announcement, introduces new enemies to the game. With animals like cougars/mountain lions and infected crows nicknamed Criers. But the part that takes the cake is he new faction, Rest In Piece (R.I.P). A cult that worships the Freakers. Known as Rippers, they wardrobe themselves like Freakers and attack anyone who’s outside of their clan. But when they run into Freakers, they won’t attack what they praise.
Three characters were featured in the trailer as well, and two of them are new to all of us. Deacon’s partner ‘Boozer’, voiced by Jim Perri, who we first saw back in 2016 gets a more in-depth look. Showing that they both work together and were previously members of the Mongrel MC before madness. Then we have Alkai Turner & Ada Tucker. Jonathan Joss voicing as Alkai, is an arms dealer at the Hotsprings survivor camp. And Ada who’s voiced by DeeDee Rescher, a former inmate that now runs the Hotsprings camp.
Days Gone will be available for Playstation 4 and Playstation 4 Pro.
