In the past handful of days, there happened to be a revelation on the current future in regards to Bend Studio’s Days Gone. In that, the 2019 title might not be experiencing a follow-up as many of its fans would hope for. From one report handled by Bloomberg, the project was pitched to Sony Interactive Entertainment. However, the game did not get clearance to pursue a second game.

While that was left vague as to why that is, Days Gone director and former Bend Studio Jeff Ross clarifies that perhaps the sales of the game did not meet the expectations of the publisher. But, while it cannot be confirmed if that is the case, Ross does go on to elaborate that the sequel was planned to incorporate in co-op experiences in a “shared world” with its players.

Although given all the possibilities for the series, what is confirmed is the game’s addition to PC later this year. In a new PlayStation Blog post, it is now verified that Days Gone is to arrive next month in mid May to the platform. You can watch the new gameplay trailer in the video below:

“Days Gone is coming to PC,” Kevin McAllister, Bend Studio Online Specialist announces. “We cannot wait to see more players experience the epic journey of Deacon St. John, a former outlaw biker now drifter and bounty hunter trying to survive in a post- apocalyptic open world where danger lurks around every corner.

“Explore the sprawling Pacific Northwest high-desert on your trusty Drifter bike as you try to maneuver around collapsed bridges, abandoned vehicles, ambush traps and blocked tunnels. Scavenge supplies from abandoned buildings to craft assorted items, barter with local camps and gear up for the ride through an infested ever-changing environment.”

Already, Days Gone does welcome a handful of enhancements through its next-generation upgrade for PlayStation 5. But thanks to the capabilities on PC, there are a bevy of other improvements that the trailer highlights. You can read the initial report by heading here.

Are you excited for Days Gone finally coming to PC?
