Dead Cells: The Bad Seed DLC Trailer Reveals Launch For February 11th

The 2018 landmark release of Motion Twin’s Dead Cells came as a new wave for the roguelike genre with the title swiftly nabbing a handful of notable nomination for that year. And while fans continue to learn the patterns of the energetic and rhythmic playstyle of the game, a new DLC is on the way for the action platformer next month.

A trailer for the approaching DLC expansion The Bad Seed has been posted which you can watch below:

Derived from the synopsis provided for the new DLC add-on, The Bad Seed introduces the new world of The Arboretrum, a calm biome inhabited by the mushrooms that live in the region. While these creatures are deemed “peaceful,” they are also ousted to have an “understandable desire to murder the beheaded.”

The team also clarifies that the two new additional levels that will be included in the titled expansion are redesigns of the pre-existing Courtyard/Toxic Sewers & Reparts/Ossuary/Ancient Sewers environments. The Mama Tick boss is also cited to be parallel in design with The Concierge from the base game as well.

While the downloadable content helps expands the story even more for the Dead Cells universe as Motion Twin proclaims, the team does not fancy the idea of creating a follow-up to the title. You can read the full report by heading here.
