Backtracking to 2010, Access Games released Deadly Premonition which introduced a new take on the survival horror genre with open world gameplay and flopping the direction to combat enemies while inside the Other World. Playing FBI Agent Francis York Morgan, you visit the Washington town of Greenvale to investigate the murder of an 18 year-old girl.

The original title is said to be a reboot of Access Games’ 2007 game Rainy Woods: following its release, the game has receive fair reception along with toppling other competing titles such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Mass Effect 2 which released that same year for a short moment.

Now in 2019, Nintendo has revealed that the long-awaited sequel will be arriving exclusively to Nintendo Switch next year during the recent Direct presentation.

Returning to the role of Francis York Morgan, this time he ventures to New Orleans as a new case has surfaced in the Louisiana town. While the trailer has been kept under a minute, some gameplay has been released to give an idea of what the game will look like when the game releases next year.

For fans who are too impatient to wait, Nintendo has also announced that the first title is out now for Nintendo Switch dubbed as Deadly Premonition Origins. Though this version is a specified port for the Switch, the game’s description does not clarify if there are any additional features like gyro controls or HD rumble that the game implements.

Dead Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise will be available for Nintendo Switch sometime next year in 2020.
