During last year’s September Nintendo Direct, White Owls Productions alongside Toy Box Inc. announced the decade-long wait for a sequel to Deadly Premonition. Given the alias ‘A Blessing in Disguise’, the Rising Star Games’ published title was slated to arrive sometime later on in the following year.

You follow in the footsteps of the starring protagonist Francis York Morgan from the first entry. This time visiting the Le Carré, the fictional city of New Orleans, the leading FBI Agent must uncover yet another mystery of the events that took place on the premise from years prior.

In a new announcement today, Nintendo released a fresh trailer for the game revealing the launch date for the approaching game. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

This news comes from a previous tweet that White Owls Productions’ head Hidetaka ‘Swery65’ Suehiro tweeted this past Saturday. When sharing an interview he had with IGN Japan, he gave a synapse for some of the discussed topics. One happened to be something Deadly Premonition 2-related, Suehiro teased. “DP2: Something will happen next week.”

While Swery alongside the rest of White Owls Productions and Toy Box Inc. are in the process of concluding development for Deadly Premonition 2, the studio head is also involved with another project elsewhere. In particular, he has announced previously to be partnering with Grasshopper Manufacturer head Goichi ‘Suda51’ Suda for a new project dubbed Hotel Barcelona.
