Demand for Xbox One X "is super high" says Panos Panay

Microsoft has touted the Xbox One X for the hardcore gamer who expects the very high-grade hardware, visuals, and performance possible on a console delivering 4K, HDR, and 60FPS in a lot of games. Less than seven days away from its launch day, Panos Panay, Corporate Vice President of devices at Microsoft, spoke with CNBC saying, “the demand is super high, we are very, very excited about Xbox One X right now”
He added “I won’t compare it to other consoles. What I’ll say is the demand for Xbox One X right now is exactly where we anticipated, even more so when you see that excitement for the product… this is something that resonates with gamers.” The demand for the World’s most powerful console is so high that Microsoft has indicated consumers to expect shortages of supplies in some regions.

U.K.’s Xbox head Harvey Eagle said in a recent interview with Gamesindustry.biz that Xbox “can’t guarantee that stock will be available in launch week for people to just walk into a store and pick up.” One example of this was the Limited Edition Project Scorpio for Xbox One selling out everywhere within two to five days.
Xbox and we Rectify are warning you to grab the console as soon as possible before your local retailer sells out. Keep checking us out on Twitter for more Xbox news.
