It has been passed around for a handful of years around the possibility of Demon’s Souls returning with a full on remake for the fan-favorite title unique to the PlayStation 3. But year after year this generation – fans have yet to see the announcement despite speculation and even creator Hidetaka Miyazaki told that he would hand the project over to a studio willing to rework the title from the ground up.

Well, now that time has arrive as the official announcement trailer for Demon’s Souls has arrived during today’s PlayStation 5 showcase. You can watch the full trailer in the video below:

“Entirely rebuilt from the ground up and masterfully enhanced, this remake invites you to experience the unsettling story and ruthless combat of Demon’s Souls in unparalleled visual quality and incredible performance,“ the synopsis shared in the trailer description reads. And as expected, developer Bluepoint Games will be helming the project with Japan Studio as well.

The trailer encaptures some of the most notorious segments of the game that just grabs excited fans who are eager to return to the new title later on this year. From glances at the Vanguard to the Quick Tower Knight, it is night & day these comparisons are with each other.
