Destiny 2: The Final Shape is the upcoming expansion for the game that was initially announced for February 27, 2024. Today, Bungie officially confirmed that The Final Shape expansion has been delayed to June 4, 2024, as reports shared several weeks ago.

“Hey everyone. We’ll keep it short and simple. The Final Shape needs more time to become exactly what we want it to be, so we’re moving its release date to June 4, 2024. “

This news will bring up questions as far as content while Bungie acknowledged that Seasons of Wish starts November 28 and it will extend until the launch of The Final Shape in June. Since the original plan was to have the majority of content and narrative for Seasons of Wish to run from November through February, the studio is working on adding new content for players to enjoy until The Final Shape releases for Destiny 2.

A lot of delays have been going around at Bungie Studios as Marathon has reportedly been delayed until 2025 after it was just announced for a 2024 release.
