Destruction AllStars Receives Price Cut Ahead Of The Game’s Release, Sony Reveals

While games like God of War: Ragnorak Horizon: Forbidden West headlines some of the most ambitious releases for the PlayStation 5, Sony Interactive Entertainment collaborated with Lucid Games (Geometry Wars) to offer a new and unique experience for the latest console iteration. Announced back in June, Destruction AllStars is a demolition derby-like experience adding the ability to roam the stage outside of your vehicle.

However, ahead of its scheduled release to launch alongside the PlayStation 5, it was announced that Destruction AllStars will be facing a delay entering into the following year, 2021. Howbeit, the game will be features as a PlayStation Plus title that coming February. And as promised, Destruction AllStars was delivered alongside Control: Ultimate Edition & Concrete Genie as well.

But now with February virtually out the door by Monday, Lucid Games is scheduling to release Destruction AllStars this coming April. Even more, the game is dropping its $70 price tag significantly upon arrival.

As we’ve shifted the launch of Destruction AllStars into PlayStation Plus, we’re doing the same with the price. We’re thrilled to announce that Destruction AllStars will be available for digital purchase from April 6th for $19.99 / CDN$29.99 / €19.99. This is a great value, and helps ensure the mayhem will continue long after our PlayStation Plus promotion comes to an end.

Months ahead of the release for the PlayStation 5, Sony Interactive Entertainment paved the way for multiple games being priced at $70. In addition to Destruction AllStars, the PlayStation company also included that Demon’s Souls will also be receiving a price increase for the next-generation console as well.

With Destruction AllStars on leave next month, Sony Interactive Entertainment is preparing a new batch of PlayStation Plus titles. For the month of March 2021, those free games include Farpoint, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Marquette, and Remnant: From the Ashes. You can read the full report by heading here.
