Details For Borderlands Movie Plot Reveals As Edgar Ramirez Gets Casting For Deukalian Atlas

Since discovering that namely director Eli Roth will be responsible for the upcoming Borderlands film, small slivers of details slowly seep out from the cracks. While much on the production has not been unofficially leaked, there is plenty to go around for sure. Most recently it was discovered that latest casting additions for Tiny Tina, Dr. Jannis, and Krieg were decided last month.

But, of course, with the expansive universe that Borderlands has evolved into in the past three installments since its inception hosts an array unique faces and personalities that need their shoes filled for the theatrical release. So casting reveals are yet to cease – even after filming has reportedly begun beforehand.

In a new announcement made by Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford, he reveals that Deukalian Atlas is to also receive screen time as well. And to fill those shoes is Edgar Ramirez (Zero Dark Thirty).

Additionally, there is more context circulating the coming motion picture as well outside of the newest cast member. In a report from Comicbook, the outlet transcribes the synopsis for the Borderlands film that was acquired through a press release provided. You can read the entirety of the movie’s overview below:

“Lilith forms an alliance with an unexpected team – Roland (Hart), a former elite mercenary, now desperate for redemption; Tiny Tina (Greenblatt), a feral pre-teen demolitionist; Krieg (Munteanu), Tina’s musclebound, rhetorically challenged protector; Tannis (Curtis), the scientist with a tenuous grip on sanity; and Claptrap (Black), a persistently wiseass robot.

“These unlikely heroes must battle alien monsters and dangerous bandits to find and protect the missing girl, who may hold the key to unimaginable power. The fate of the universe could be in their hands – but they’ll be fighting for something more: each other.”
