In the ongoing arc of content that arrives to Netflix with video game adapted properties, the firm stands to be what pioneered many beloved television series in the past couple of years. With the animated Castlevania series alongside The Witcher with its live-action roots, users anticipate more to come. Already, there is a confirmed spin-off of the Konami property starring both of Richter Belmont & Maria Renard in the new show.

As for other projects involving Adi Shankar’s work, he is also said to be working on the upcoming Far Cry anime – Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. Shankar is said to be producing the production which is presumed to release next year. Additionally, Shankar is also told to be showrunning a new Devil May Cry series he announced back in 2018. But speaking to IGN, Shankar now shares new information on the production.

Speaking to the outlet, eight episodes are paved for the first season with the script already concluded. He adds that Devil May Cry alike prior work is to be slated for a “multi-season arc” as well. He then goes on to joke that Chris Pratt is not involved in the coming project – a nod to the star’s casting for the Super Mario movie underway.

“I can also confirm that Chris Pratt won’t be voicing any of the characters. The entire team both from the management side and the creative side have been so incredibly supportive and gracious.” He adds Capcom veteran Hiroyuki Kobayashi has been assisting with the project, “Kobayashi-san has been wonderful. It’s seriously a joy to work with Capcom. Their character library is unlike anything assembled.”

In recent ages for Netflix, the firm is delving deeper into video games in its own respect. Currently, the firm just launched its Netflix Games tab for Android devices for the service’s app. But, there could be more to come with the prior acquisition of Oxenfree/Afterparty developer Night School Studios.
