Digital Extremes Reveals PlayStation 5 Version For Warframe To Be Arriving Later This Year

Among the exciting returns of titles that are to be reiterated on next-generation hardware, not much has been spoken of on behalf of Digital Extremes’ Warframe. That was until recently where Canadian developer broke its silence to speak on the new version of the game being optimized for PlayStation 5.

In a new blog post, the Warframe studio expands on where the game is heading in terms of next-generation. For the most part, emphasis for the game is on the PlayStation 5 version. However, in a blog post on the game’s official website, there will be a respected version for Xbox Series X|S. But for the most part, it looks for now that users on Sony’s platform receive the most benefits.

In that, the PlayStation 5 version is shared to offer cross-generation play, live updates on both platforms, cross-platform saving, and DualSense adaptive trigger support. That among other enhancements fans can only find on the newer console as well.

On PS5, Warframe will look and play better than ever. Textures throughout the entire game will be at their sharpest, thanks to a game-wide remaster that will also help you save on space. Running at up to 4K resolution and 60fps means no detail will escape your eye. You could even say that Missions will run as smoothly as Nezha using Fire Walker.

You can also expect improved loading times across the entire game thanks to the next generation solid-state drive. When recording footage for this trailer, we noticed that the load time into our open world Cetus, was several times faster on PS5 than PS4.  You’ll be able to step into your next adventure on the Plains, Orb Vallis or Cambion Drift faster than ever before.

Additionally, there will also be a Year 7 Anniversary celebration that PlayStation 5 users can cash in on. For Xbox Series X|S, Digital Extremes tells Xbox Game Pass owners can find perks that can be unlocked including weapons that will be added to your arsenal. Even more, additional details on the next-gen version for Xbox is said to be shared “very soon.”

In other enhancement news for PlayStation 5, bend Studio pressed on the next-generation upgrade for Days Gone. When playing on the new console, you will find the game running at 4K resolution with 60 frames per second performance, the team tells. You can read the full report by heading here.
