Last week it was teased from God of War Game Director Cory Barlog that something else will be coming related to the action-adventure will be announced as part of the game’s one year anniversary this past April 20th. The Santa Monica Studio Director sharing “that’s not all” and following with a comment that what’s to come is not forthcoming downloadable content for the 2018 title.
Now with the game’s birthday just passing this weekend, Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed that the big surprise for God of War fans is a full-length documentary which seems to follow the journey of developing what later became to be 2018’s Game of the Year.
From the trailer that revealed the upcoming film documenting the development for God of War, it showcases instances that vary from behind-the-scenes conversations at the developer’s studio, motion capture segments for the game’s cutscenes, and the initial hype from fans during the title’s official reveal.
The PlayStation YouTube Channel currently has the upcoming documentary ’Raising Kratos’, listed to be “Coming Soon” with no specific time frame for when exactly that is. As well as a new cut-scene teased at the end of the trailer which might be one that never made it into the finished game, or potentially the first nod to the game’s anticipated sequel.
