Nintendo held a Super Nintendo World Direct today showcasing its upcoming Donkey Kong Country expansion coming to the park this year. Shigeru Miyamoto hosted the presentation giving fans a tease of what to expect. You can expect there to be a Gift Shop, Cafe, and more importantly interactive experiences for park attendees including Minecart Madness. 

Donkey Kong Country will open at Super Nintendo World Japan on December 11, 2024. This area will also open when Super Nintendo World opens at Universal Studios Florida in 2025. 

The Direct gave us a tease of Minecart Madness, the park’s first roller coaster. The coaster will be for all friends and family, especially for those who are big fans of Donkey Kong. The other interactive activity is the rhythm-based Congas, a 3-player activity where you match the beat to what you hear, and then if you get it right, Rambi will appear.
