For what most players expect, developer id Software delivered on its two-part story expansion for Doom Eternal. “The lore, locations and fights were blistering and fast paced, and both parts together creates a compelling and tightly paced follow-up to a great game. For any Doom fans, this expansion is a must play,” critic David Rodriguez wrote in our review for the DLCs at the time.
Well, the firm has also been occupied collaborating on additional add-ons for the original re-releases of Doom as well believe it or not. It was just this past April in which both Doom & Doom II received free story DLC respectively. However, more was planned to release for both titles, but a release window was not provided then.
In a new announcement from QuakeCon, more expansions arrive to Doom alongside Doom II with Revolution! and Rubicon 2 now available to install on all platforms. You can watch the release trailer in the video below:
“We’re excited to drop not one, but two new additions to our Add-ons library today! As always, these Add-ons are available to download via the in-game Add-ons menu for each respective re-release, including DOOM(1993), DOOM II and Quake. Take on a massive demonic uprising in Revolution! for DOOM (1993) and DOOM II, or battle through massive single-player maps in Rubicon 2 for Quake!”
Additionally, Bethesda at QuakeCon also announced five new games launching for PC Game Pass today. Which are The Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire, The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard, Quake 4, Wolfenstein 3D, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein. You can read the full report by heading here.
Are you planning to return to either Doom to play the new DLC?
Doom & Doom II is out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
