DOOM is getting a 4K patch on Xbox One X tomorrow

Doom is about to look even better if you own an Xbox One X. Bethesda has now announced that a patch that adds support for 4K on both Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro will roll out tomorrow, March 29.
“When DOOM launched in 2016, id Software focused on mixing cutting-edge graphics with relentless, fast-paced gameplay for users on all platforms,” Bethesda writes. “Thanks to a brand-new game update arriving on March 29, id is pushing the game’s graphics even further with the release of a new 4K resolution patch. At long last, you’ll be able to witness the power of the DOOM Slayer in stunning 4K on both PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X platforms.”
Doom has been listed on Microsoft’s official Xbox One X Enhanced lineup, with its patch availability marked “coming soon,” for some time. Until now, it wasn’t clear exactly how Bethesda was planning on taking advantage of the console’s extra horsepower. It’s unclear from Bethesda’s announcement if there are any other visual enhancements outside of the move to 4K, but Doom already looked great and performed well.
If you already own the game for Xbox, expect the patch to drop tomorrow.
