With approaching sci-fi title Anthem being BioWare’s focus currently, their other IPs have seemed to be shelved until we’re past February 22nd. But recently in a blog post on BioWare’s website, there “secret Dragon Age stuff” on the way this month.
Community Manager Casey Hudson discusses the current status about Anthem as the game slowly approaches its February release date. But coming near the end of the post, Hudson details:
If you’ve been following these blogs, or myself and Mark Darrah on Twitter, you know we’re also working on some secret Dragon Age stuff. Dragon Age is an incredibly important franchise in our studio, and we’re excited to continue its legacy. Look for more on this in the coming month (though I won’t tell you where to look…).
His statement being pretty evident that we should hear something fairly soon about the fan favorite franchise. Among the discussion of Dragon Age, Hudson also spoke of Mass Effect briefly as well. “We announced one of the things we’ve done recently (a 4k enhancement to Mass Effect: Andromeda on Xbox One) but as we alluded to in our N7 Day video, that was just a small part of the plans we’re making for Mass Effect going forward.”
This news was expected to break eventually as BioWare stated how the currently developed Anthem was taking priority over other titles by the Canadian developer. Until more is released on what’s next for the Dragon Age series, stay tuned to Rectifygaming.com.
