Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC ‘Goku’s Next Journey’ launches Today

[…] Dragon Ball Kakarot isn’t without faults, but the love, dedication and engaging battle system do the series proud,” our review for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot reads upon the game’s release back in early 2020. And just over four years later, the game still faces a steady flow of support.

Already, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is well into its second season pass focusing on the game’s developing story behind protagonist Goku. Back in August 2023, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot welcomed DLC ’The 23rd World Tournament’ which features the the starring Goku in the titular combat tournament. However, there was still one more add-on promised.

On Wednesday February 21st, DLC ‘Goku’s Next Journey’ was released for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. You can watch the launch trailer in the video below:

“A decade later, new adventures and battles commence,” the description for the YouTube trailer reads. “Taking place in the ‘10 years later’ segment of the Z series, following a decisive battle against Majin Buu that challenged humanity’s fate, a new World Tournament will have players reunite with Goku and the Z fighters,” a separate press release reads.

“This DLC also introduces them to Gohan and Videl’s daughter, Pan, as a playable character, and mysterious newcomer Uub, who piques Goku’s interest. Has his wish from ten years ago been granted? After a decade’s worth of training, Goku’s skills have leveled up and players will be able to test them out against worthy opponents in the World Tournament arena!”
