The official announcement of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot made as much noise as the initial report that came for the then-codenamed ‘Project Z’, fans learning of an RPG following the origin story of Goku instantly glowed on the fanbase as those interested in the beginning of the entire franchise will relive it in a different perspective. Players will have the opportunity to learn, fight, and eat as the series’ protagonist with this new upcoming title.
Today marks the launch of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, and no better way to celebrate than to watch the pseudo-TV spot for the game that developer CyberConnect2 brewed leading up to the game’s release. The trailer was uploaded earlier this month, but for those who have yet to watch yet can do in the video provided below:
Paying homage to the classic “This Time on Dragon Ball Z” commercials that aired ahead of upcoming episodes, it is a treat that the developer would go this route to resonate with fans who watched the series since its debut over three decades ago. The trailer also picks at some of the meatier things that will be discovered in the game such as unanswered lore that the show never addressed initially.
It is also shared in the trailer dictates that the player has the ability to bounce from protagonist Goku to other franchise favorite personas like Vegeta, Piccolo, and Trunks which reiterates what Bandai Namco revealed previously. Additionally, other name worthy characters will be available to summon in battle as presented in the trailer.
