Back in late-January, it was detailed at the Dragon Ball FighterZ World Tour Finals that a upcoming RPG based on the series would tell the origin story of franchise protagonist Goku in a whole new experience. Dubbed with the alias ‘Project Z’, more was said to be revealed in the months coming as the game was projected to release later in 2019.
Now fast forwarding to today’s press conference at the Microsoft Theatre, Bandai Namco revealed the teased CyberConnect2 title to be Dragon Ball Z: Karakot.
The description for the game reads to include “never-before-seen story moments that answer some burning questions of Dragon Ball lore for the first time,” as well as feature side quests like any other role-playing title. Where you will play and truly experience the passage Goku initially went through as he did at the start of the notorious saga.
Are you excited to play the definitive journey of Gohan’s adopted son?
Dragon Ball Z: Karakot is listed for early 2020 with listings for Xbox One currently, but with more definitely planned to be revealed in the coming months, expect the announcement for PlayStation 4, PC, and possibly Nintendo Switch in the coming months.
