It’s been an exciting weekend at DreamHack Atlanta, and the start of the Halo 3 2v2 Showdown only helped to amplify that excitement. Representing Rectify in the doubles showdown was Mason ‘Neighbor’ Cobb and Nick ‘Best Man’ Johnson.

Starting their run off, they were able to take the first game with ease, netting an easy 2-0 win over Bunnies + Omnipresent. Yet again, their second match was a clean 2-0 win against Double Time. Seemingly breezing through the competition, their third game resulted in yet another 2-0 win over RisE to SurprisE.

Unfortunately, this clean run was foiled by One Time, who took a 2-0 win against Rectify in the Winners Quarter-Final. Knocking us down to Losers Bracket, Neighbor and Best Man were able to secure a win 2-1 against Online Warriors. Subsequently, they took the next win over Those Guys in a 2-1 match.

In the Losers Quarter-Final, Self-Proclaimed eliminated Rectify from the event with a clean 2-0. This left Rectify placing at 5th out of 62 teams for the showdown, a very respectable placing.

Neighbor and Best Man gave it their all as did everyone else in the tourney. Good games to everyone involved and best of luck to the GMS and Optic Gaming in the Grand Finals tomorrow!
