As many can recall, Dying Light 2 fell into a pit of controversy with its plans in terms of gameplay hours. While many understood the game to be a longer experience with decisions changing the outcome of the new setting, players did not anticipate Techland to share it will take 500 hours to complete. The team later went on to clarify that this is the result of reaching multiple endings and purely unlocking everything in the game.
However, more fans were ecstatic to learn that the post-launch for the game will be more familiar to the first Dying Light. In that, the team promises a path of post-launch content will be stretching over five years easily. As for when the add-on plans will come into effect is still being determined. The firm did previously add New Game+ which layers the replayability for Dying Light 2 for sure.
In a roadmap reveal for the game, Techland shared that its plans for the first story add-on aimed for this summer has been pushed to this September in the fall now.
However, in June, we will introduce the first game Chapter entitled “In the Footsteps of a Nightrunner,” filled with content and events, as well as the highly anticipated photo mode, so stay tuned for more action in The City!
