For game-changing RPGs, players always anticipate that these titles will eat up hours of your time to reach the end. However, with the new release of Dying Light 2, many question the longevity of reaching the finish line for this release. The original 2015 title before it stood as an open-world adventure filled with parkour moves to master and undead to kill along the way. But, the sequel is to incorporate a new choice system which is said to reinvigorate the experience.

Last hearing from Techland on the matter, the firm cemented the game’s release for February 2022 at the time. But, the choice to push the game’s release is said to be swayed by the new choice system which Techland Lead Game Designer Tymon Smektala explained to GamesRadar.

Recently, Techland grabbed buzz on Twitter for its projected completion time for Dying Light 2: approximately 500 hours to complete Dying Light 2. The team translated that to still be shorter in a hike from Warsaw, Poland to Madrid, Spain.

Shortly after Techland made an update statement on the post for further elaborate on its intentions. “500 hours is related to maxing out the game – finishing all the quests, endings, and exploring every part of the world, but a regular player should finish the story + side quests and do quite a lot of exploring in less than 100 hours, so don’t worry!”

However, it did not take long for Techland to still confuse its followers as many voice concerns for the long playtime for Dying Light 2. This then led to yet another Twitter post by the developer to visualize how fast an average player can finish the main game. And it is said only 20 hours is necessary whilst completing the side objectives only eats up 80 hours roughly.

Previously, Techland set a surprise for Nintendo Switch fans with the announcement of Dying Light 2 Cloud Version. Prior to that, the team did state there were no plans to port the game to Nintendo Switch. However, it is not a native version so technically the team was not untruthful.
