Bethesda’s Fallout 76 has been struggling to bring in fans since the game’s debut this past November; pushing into 2019, Bethesda planned to undo the damage that plagued the title at launch and also laid out the upcoming content planned for the entirety of 2019. During the Bethesda Showcase at E3, the publisher revealed the latest update this will be dropping into the Appalachian wasteland.
Titled ‘Nuclear Winter’, the new mode will contain 52 players into one area as they fight it out whilst the roughs of the northeast wildlife is also in the mix. The battle royale’s main objective is for players to fight for the place of the Vault 51 overseer as the storm’s ring of fire consumes the vicinity.
Features like special perks will give players the extra edge when fighting your way to the last one alive. Other in-game elements like the C.A.M.P. system and the mode’s own respected ranking structure will also be available with Nuclear Winter.
The mode is only the first of many content drops that will be taking place during the course of the Summer as a high ranking vault raid and other new features that will be added leading up to Fall’s Wastelanders event sometime in September.
