Square Enix dropped a big announcement for Nintendo Switch owners as the publisher revealed that the remastered version of The Last Remnant will be coming to the console/handheld hybrid as soon as today for purchase.
The initial title dropped over a decade ago back in 2008 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Following to the remaster which was released last year as for the 10 year anniversary of the title which was originally exclusive to the PlayStation 4 until now. Square Enix really made the remaster shine from the original by taking advantage of modern capabilities and upgrading the engine from Unreal Engine 3 to unreal Engine 4.
Taking place in the Athlum, one of the dozen split city-states of the game’s world, you play as Rush who gets recruited by David Nassau, the city’s young ruler. Alongside the protagonist is the city’s four generals Blocter, Emma, Pagus, and Torgat who assist in the journey to discover the remnants in the same attempt to save Rush’s sister, Irina.
Those who plan on picking up the game can purchase the title for $19.99 on the Nintendo eShop.
The Last Remnant Remastered is available now for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
