Microsoft-acquired Undead labs made an appearance at this year’s Xbox press conference revealing the latest content coming to the studio’s 2018 zombie survival title, State of Decay 2. Amid the new adventures that players can return to in the title, Microsoft revealed that the newly announced content is already available for purchase as well.

In Heartland, players return to the towns of the original 2013 title which is comprised of Spencer’s Mill and Marshall after the undead have overtaken the two settlements. But unlike the living dead that most survivors are adapted to, this is a new breed of zombie: the blood plagued, a more unpredictable and belligerent type of walker.

The downloadable content is split into two different stories for players to experience as they return to Trumbull Valley. The content’s description reiterates that despite the familiar setting hides new terrors never before experienced.

State of Decay 2: Heartland is listed for $9.99, Xbox Game Pass owners will receive the new DLC for now extra cost.

State of Decay 2 is out now for Xbox One and PC.
