It seems that Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey developer Ubisoft Quebec grew a liking to the ancient Greece setting for the 2018 title as the studio revealed that their next title will be taking place during the same era with Gods & Monsters.
The new open-world title brings you a new journey heading towards the isle of the Blessed, while on your passage you will run into a slew of different mythological beasts that you must overcome as part of the story that will be written to be told for generations. As a ploy from the leader of the menacing beings that stand in your way, you must prove to Typhon with the courage and bravery that he has something to reckon with.
Granted your unique powers from the God Olympus, you must use them to avenge the fallen gods from the hands of Typhon. Either on ground or in the air you can engage combat. Creatures like Hydras and Cyclops are only some of the many you will meet on your journey.
The cinematic shown only reveals what is expected from the game, but no actual gameplay has been presented as of yet. With an February-aimed release date, there’s plenty of room for Ubisoft to fully showcase the title in the coming months.
Just moments prior to Ubisoft’s press conference, Ubisoft Quebec revealed that their latest title will be receiving both a Discovery Mode and Story Creator Mode.
Gods & Monsters will be available on February 25, 2020 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Uplay & Stadia for PC.
