EA Sports is set to finally showcase upcoming title, NHL 23 on August 25th. Today, they revealed the two cover athletes for the game featuring Anaheim Ducks star, Trevor Zegras and Sarah Nurse, a professional women’s hockey player from Canada.
This is a first to have an woman on the cover for an EA Sports NHL game and it’s a big step forward in supporting women’s hockey. Sarah Nurse, a professional her self in the hockey scene also has family ties to the NHL as her brother, Darnell Nurse plays defense for the Edmonton Oilers. As for Trevor Zegras, he is already starting to become an icon for the league with 61 points in his rookie season, but has been known for his highlight reel goals.
For tomorrow’s full reveal of NHL 23 we should expect information on all the modes that will be in the game, possibly a new set of moves to do in the game and other new features if any at all. We would love to potentially see how they could take advantage of advanced hardware in the Xbox Series XlS and PlayStation 5.
We do know that there has been a closed technical test going on for the game. The mode that’s being tested currently is World of Chel and we expect to hear about an open test to come closer to launch of NHL 23.

Many fans would love to see an NHL title on PC, but we will see if that will ever happen.
The NHL 23 Reveal Trailer will take place on August 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM EST.
