Upon some of the out of nowhere announcements that were presented during today’s Inside Xbox live show, one that was more presumable than the latter is EAS Sports to showcase the next entry for the annual Madden game series. Revealing Madden NFL 21, the studio announced the game with help from Superbowl LVI winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

The trailer revealing the game paid homage to the series since its debut in 1988 showcasing the evolution of the series leading up to the latest installment coming out later this year. You can watch the trailer for the segment of Inside Xbox in the video below:

One notable mention that the Kansas City quarterback shares was that Xbox One users could pick up Madden NFL 21 for free if already purchased in anticipation for Xbox Series X. However, the statement was later revealed to be quite misleading as there is only a limited timeframe for players to cash in on the offer whilst other game’s are put into stone for Smart Delivery.

“To receive the offer, players must purchase Madden NFL 21 on Xbox One by December 31, 2020 and upgrade to Xbox Series X by March 31, 2021,” the press release shares on the matter. Another point worth mentioning is the December date listed only stands as the placeholder for the game and is expected to change when more details emerge on the next iteration for the series.

Are you planning on picking up Madden NFL 21 later this year?
