Summary
An organizational dream come true
For years, the organization of cords behind my TV has been the bane of my existence. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great problem to have. I have been very fortunate to own multiple game consoles in my life. But trying to organize the placement of plugs along a surge protector has always been a problem for me. Just look at the mess behind my TV –
When I was given the opportunity to check out Echogear’s rotating plug surge protector, I immediately jumped at the chance. This 8 plug protector has a lot going on, including 2160 J surge protection, lights to indicate if it is grounded and protected, an 8-foot cord, wall hanging slots, and hooks to help manage your cords. But that’s not the best part. The best part is the rotating plugs.
On this unit, 6 of the plugs can rotate 160 degrees. This may not be a big deal if you have standard plugs, but that’s not always the case. Plugs for TVs, antennas, and game consoles come in all shapes and sizes. It can become a Tetris game when you try to fit everything in. It’s not a problem at all with this surge protector. If you have any plugs that are large or have an unusual shape, then you can rotate a plug to either side of the protector in order to fit everything.
Besides the 6 rotating plugs, you also have 2 fixed outlets that can be used. In my life, I am usually plugging and unplugging my Nintendo Switch dock on a frequent basis. With the Echogear surge protector, I can save a side plug for my Switch, so I don’t need to worry about trying to untangle it from a bunch of cords. In the end, this is what the back of my TV looks like, and I couldn’t be happier –
It’s an amazing feeling being able to organize all of your living room electronics in a way that is safe and works with the different size cords. If you are in need of some organization, and in need of a safe and reliable surge protector, then look no further.
The Echogear rotating plug surge protector is available now for $29.99 on their website.
